Airtime-an Open Source Radio Station Management Software

Airtime is an open source application designed for radio station management.It has seen a new release (v 1.9.4) and now comes with .deb packages for easy installation in debian based distros like Ubuntu.


Powering stations like London’s Resonance FM, Senegal’s West Africa Democracy Radio and Canada’s NationTalk, Airtime platforms have been receiving industry acclaim including a Knight-Batten Award for Innovations in Journalism. Airtime is also a finalist in the Packt Open Source Multimedia Software Awards 2011 alongside Blender, GIMP and Inkscape.

Airtime 1.9.4 has been released with new DEB packages for Ubuntu and Debian that keep installations automatically updated with the latest version. Airtime 1.9.4 also includes the new file storage system with 'watch' folders, allowing stations to magically synchronise files and to easily browse their audio archives, as well as Shoutcast support, improved front-end widgets, and extensive bug-fixes.
