how does my lappy appear?

these are 4 screenshots of my lappy screen.

1.just after start up.only visible is docky;even upper panel  is auto-hiding

2.upper panel is visible here.look at the 4 desktops.this is present by default

3.here synaptic is downloading the updates

4.synaptic still downloading the updates but the downloading not visible due to the transparency of the window.this effect is enabled by compiz.this is one application which is run only in ubuntu without graphics card.thats one reason why i am using ubuntu
