google started censoring instasearch suggestions

according to the post here, google started censoring search results for torrent and rapidshare links.

What Google has done, is make a list of piracy-related keywords that have been removed from its auto-complete list. For instance, anything with the word torrent(including utorrent,a perfectly legal software) added to it will not be suggested by the search engine. What is a little weird here, though, is the fact that Google hasn’t banned words like Pirate Bay or ISOHUNT, which are popular torrent sites.

So,what are you now going to do?use duckduckgo.it could be added to firefox search bar easily too.

  1. I added DuckDuckGo in Firefox Searchbar. What is the difference between DuckDuckGo and DuckDuckGo SSL?

  2. not much.the result will remain same.its just that duckduckgo ssl is a secured site.that means the searches you entered will remain encrypted and no body will be able to eavesdrop it between your machine and server.
as its encrypted, the search will be a little bit slower.thats all.
for example, blackberry messenger is an encrypted software.it encrypts the data you send so that it could be decrypted only by another BBM.without proper decrypting algorithm, its not possible to read what you sent.that's why govt is asking bb for the proper decrypting algorithm.
    hope this helps.
