pratham-india's attempt to reduce GPS inaccuracy

this is shown in the IIT tech-fest by prof K Sudhakar from Dept of Aerospace Eng,IIT-mumbai.

Almost every GPS System or GPP-enabled phone deals with a certain amount of lag while updating current position due to the IONOSPHERE which is filled with charged particle.these charged particles plays with radio waves gleefully and make the GPS signal amongst other things slightly inaccurate and delayed.

প্রথম will come into effect in this.this satellite will be launched to the ionosphere and it'll send back information about 'total electron count'(popularly known as TEC).other than helping to solve GPS problem,it might help ISRO to solve their space mssion problem.

production cost: ₹ 1.5 crore

life span: 4 months
