The idea of earth hour is basically very simple-shut down all electrical power based machine for one hour.This yr it started from 8:30pm.Bollywood star Vidya Balan , who is the cause ambassador of the third edition of 'Earth Hour', was in delhi to observe the hour.Music band Euphoria performed on the occasion at the India Gate lawns.The campaign message this year is to go beyond the hour and commit oneself to a more sustainable way of living every day, and not just for an hour,according to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
My participation is not entirely willing.I was aware of the event of course and planned accordingly.Ultimately it was found that such planning was not necessary.Our esteemed state electricity board decided that whether willing or not every body of my locality must participate.So they somehow just shut down the power source of my 'para' for 3 hours,staring from 8pm to 11pm.The whole 'para' was looking haunted.Have to do candle light dinner.It was a great experience.Just missing that special someone!!!!!!!
