Rapid Photo Downloader v 0.4 released

Rapid Photo Downloader download photos from multiple cameras, memory cards and Portable Storage Devices simultaneously. It belongs to that rare group where applications are written by the end-user.In this case, its written by a photographer for the photographers-be it professional or amateurs.Damon lynch produces a real nice piece of software. Its released under GNL GPU license keeping in mind of demands of linux users. This application does not cost anything but if you like this, donation is welcome(donation could be done at the above site).
With version 0.4 it now sports a new user-interface with improved speed performance.According to the developer,"it can download about 12.5x faster than Shotwell, or 2.5x faster than F-Spot (testing done with 2.2GB of Canon RAW files downloaded from a single memory card - it's even faster when you download from multiple cards at one time)".
Ubuntu users could use the following repository.just open the terminal and type
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dlynch3
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rapid-photo-downloader
